Salah stars as Egypt win World Cup qualifier

The Liverpool star continues to deliver

Mohamed Salah continues to deliver - for both club and country. On Friday evening, he was a key player when Egypt defeated Ethiopia 2-0 in the World Cup qualifiers.

Liverpool star initiated the scoring by netting the 1-0 and then assisted Ahmed Sayed for the team's second goal. With this victory, Egypt strengthens its lead in the qualifying group, now having 13 points after five matches, with Burkina Faso in second place with eight points.

Salah's performance also means that he has now scored 58 goals in 102 A-international matches for Egypt.

The 2016-17 season saw Salah as a key figure in Roma's unsuccessful title bid, reaching double figures in both goals and assists. In 2017, Salah moved to Liverpool in the Premier League for £36.9 million, a club record at the time.
